Welcome to BetaCrux. By creating an account or using this app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Account and Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use this type of service).
  • If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, a parent/guardian must authorise your use.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate profile details where requested.

2. App Purpose

  • BetaCrux is a climbing community app for check-ins, badge progress, profile activity, gym events, and gym video sharing.
  • Features may include live gym presence indicators and profile visibility controls.
  • Badge and progression systems are informational and for in-app engagement only.

3. User Conduct

  • Do not post, submit, or share unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with app security, services, or other users.
  • Do not use automated abuse, spam, scraping, or exploitative behaviour.
  • Do not impersonate others or misuse another person's data.

4. Location, Live Presence, and Check-Ins

  • Check-in, distance, and live presence features rely on device location data.
  • You are responsible for enabling location permissions as needed.
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted location accuracy.

5. User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you submit.
  • You grant BetaCrux a limited right to store, process, and display submitted content for app functionality.
  • User content may include profile fields, gym videos (including links and preview images), event posts, event participation, gym requests, and bug reports.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to the content you upload and submit.

6. Service Availability

  • Features may change, be updated, paused, or removed at any time.
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or if required for safety, legal, or security reasons.
  • You may stop using the app at any time.
  • You can delete your account using the in-app account deletion flow; if you cannot access your account, contact legal@sunpatch.co.uk.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetaCrux is not liable for indirect or consequential damages from app use.

9. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer law applies in your region.
  • Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

10. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms from time to time.
  • If updates are material, we may require you to re-accept the updated terms before continuing in-app.
  • Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
